1. Awareness aims to focus attention and create understanding of basic business continuity, crisis management, crisis communication, disaster recovery or operational resilience concerns. It is knowing or having knowledge of something through alertness or observing or interpolating what with the basic senses.
Note (2): Examples of creating such awareness include the distribution of posters and flyers targeted at organization-wide audience or conducting specific briefings for the executive management of the organization. Awareness is less formal than training and is generally targeted at all staff in the organization. Note (3): It forms part of the awareness, training and education learning continuum. Note (4): Awareness is not training. The purpose of awareness presentations are intended to allow individuals to recognize their concerns and respond accordingly
