2. Extends beyond job competency produced by training. It integrates skills and competencies into a common body of knowledge to instill in staff the capability of insight, vision and proactive response. For example, staff should be trained to select the appropriate recovery strategy in response to changes in external environment and business operations. Education is the capstone of the awareness, training and education learning continuum.
