Can I Be Trained Based on my current needs and experiences?
One of the principle considerations is every person who is involved in BCM Audit, Business Continuity, Crisis Management or Disaster Recovery should be given the opportunity to attend a course regardless of their experience and seniority. The training provided for each staff member in an organization should be based on "need-to-know‟ rather than to be forced to enrol in a course which could be attended by anybody who is experienced at any level.
In BCM Institute training philosophy, each candidate should be trained according to their position within the BCM or Disaster Recovery organization and their level of experience. In addition, they should also be given the opportunity to be recognized in this industry through a form of recognition, namely, the award of a professional certification. For example, anyone who is a new to the organization should attend the BCM-230 ISO22301 BCMS Planner course which is a one-day course, while anyone who needs to be trained to the highest level in BCM can proceed to attend the BCM-5000 ISO22301 Expert Implementer course.
Usually, the organization will be permit this person to take 4 days away from his office, and here is where he or she will be awarded with the highest level – the Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE), Crisis Management Certified Expert (CMCE) or the Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) upon completion of the course and passing of the exam. In July 2012, BCM Institute will launch the Business Continuity Certified Lead Auditor (BCCLA) and Business Continuity Certified (Internal) Auditor (BCCA) courses specialising in the global ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) standard.
