Recertification is the process of renewing a professional's certification after the initial first year of the certification period. The main objective to recertify a perofessional is to evaluate and ensure his/her technical competence periodically.

The BCM Institute Recertification Process is a 2-year cycle which is broken down into year 1 and year 2. A BCM Institute certified professional should recertify every year by obtaining a certain number of Continuing Education Hours (CEH). Certified professionals from BCM Institute begin accruing CEH as of effective dates of the current certification validity. This is the date as printed on the (electronic) certificate.
