1. Test is an activity that is performed to validate certain capabilities of the BC Plan relative to specified objectives or established criteria.

2. An activity that is performed to evaluate the effectiveness or capabilities of a plan relative to specified objectives or measurement criteria. Types of tests include: Desk Check, Peer Review, Structured Walkthrough, Standalone Test, Integrated Test, and Operational Test.

3. Activities performed to evaluate the effectiveness or capabilities of a plan relative to specified objectives or measurement criteria. Test usually involves exercises designed to keep teams and employees effective in their duties and to reveal weaknesses in the Business Continuity Plan.

4. An activity that is performed to evaluate the effectiveness or capabilities of a plan relative to specified objectives or measurement criteria.

5. A pass/fail evaluation of infrastructure (example-computers, cabling, devices, hardware) and\or physical plant infrastructure (example-building systems, generators, utilities) to demonstrate the anticipated operation of the components and system. A test can also be used to demonstrate whether all or parts of the Business Continuity Plan are fit for purpose.
