1. Storage as a Service or STaaS may be a cloud computing architecture model where digital storage on infrastructure are provided by the vendor.

Notes (1): It can be implemented as a business model in which a cloud storage service rents space in their storage infrastructure on a subscription basis and based on a utility model. The vendor maintains and manages its customers' data and makes that data accessible over the Internet.
