Paul Yap is Head of the Temasek Aviation & Aerospace Centre (TAAC) at Temasek Polytechnic (TP), which provides airline and airport solutions to aviation related companies worldwide. He is also concurrently the course manager for the aviation management and services diploma at TP. He teachs Business Continuity Management in TP.

In additional to his managerial responsibilities, he also lectures and instructs both tertiary and certificate level programmes in airport terminal operations, customer service, optimisation of airport performance, aviation security, airline network and fleet planning, air transport finance and economics International aviation relations, and airport emergency planning and business continuity management.

Past Employment

Paul Yap has over 10 years of management experience in the aviation industry, including senior positions with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Permanent Mission of Singapore to ICAO in Montreal, Canada.

At CAAS, he has held postings with various departments including the Singapore Aviation Academy, Airport Management, Airworthiness and Flight Operations, Air Traffic Services and International Relations, in increasingly senior positions. Prior to leaving CAAS, he was heading the airport events unit, the airport performance unit, the aviation security unit and was the project manager in charge of Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 operationalisation.

He was subsequently head hunted by the Ministry of Health to spearhead a new branch responsible for improving the operational efficiency of Singapore’s public hospitals.
