Prior to establishing [http://www.bcm-institute.org BCM Institute] and [http://www.GMHasia.com GMH Continuity Architects], Moh Heng held senior positions with a number of large organizations. During his career with the [http://www.gic.com.sg Government of Singapore Investment Corporation], he was responsible for all aspects of its BC and contingency planning.  At [http://www.standardchartered.com Standard Chartered Bank], he saw to the global implementation of its BC management and planning.  He also managed the BC practice at [http://www.pwc.com PriceWaterhouse(Coopers)].  

He was previously the Executive Director of Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) Asia, the Asian representation for [[DRI International (DRII)| DRI International]].  He was the [http://www.sedb.com/edb/sg/en_uk/index/news_room/publications/singapore_investment02/siingapore_investment9/dri_makes_singapore.html first non-American to be a member of the Certification Commission]of DRI International, US, and [http://www.drj.com/articles/sp98/drii.htm was responsible for bringing DRI International’s BC professional certification to Asia]. Moh Heng was the founding President for the Business Continuity Group, a Technology Industry Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society and was its President from 1996 to 1999.

Moh Heng holds a doctorate from the [http://www.unisa.edu.au University of South Australia].  His thesis explored the development of action learning as a contributing tool for BCM.  He also holds a Master of Business in Information Technology and a B.Sc. in Computer Science.  Moh Heng attended the International Management Program at [http://www.insead.edu/home INSEAD Euro-Asia Centre] Euro-Asia Center, Fontainebleau, France.

== BC and DR Standard Development ==

Moh Heng also headed the development team responsible for developing the Singapore Standard (SS507:2004) for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) service providers.  The SS507 is the base document for the ISO/IEC 24762 Guidelines for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for Disaster Recovery (DR) Services.  Moh Heng is also the Technical Reference (TR19:2005) for BCM in Singapore. Moh Heng is the Senior Advisor to the China Business Continuity Management Professional Committee, a quasi government agency responsible for BCM throughout China.
